Direct Service Clients:
Direct Service Clients are those who do not receive case management, but instead receive a "quick" service, usually intended to prevent a crisis. Typically, it is assumed that a direct service client's status isn't going to change, but that the direct service will allow the client to either remain stable or become stable (if they were in a crisis) as a result of the service or intervention. Services such as a one-time utility payment, a jobs workshop, obtaining food at a food bank, might be considered "quick" services.
All Direct service clients must be administered an Intake that collects characteristic and demographic data and a Primary Assessment to determine need, prior to the provision of the services.
