Client Portal Settings - The Basics
You can determine how many (or how few) features your clients can access and interact with when they use the Client Portal. This article will break down what each feature provides clients and how they will function in the Client Portal.
Remember that if you have indicated any of the following features as Required Data, you must enable that feature if you wish clients be able to independently apply for your programs:
- any Assessment
- any Forms
- Employment
- Budget
- Files
Before enabling or disabling any Client Portal feature,
please read each description carefully
Enable/Disable Global Invitation Waitlist
Puts individuals applying for your organization via a global invitation link onto a waitlist for approval before creating an organizational-specific record
If you have decided to distribute your organization's Global Invitation Link, we highly recommend that you enable this feature!
For additional, important information prior to disabling this feature, see Wait-list individuals who used a Global Invitation Link?
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Global Invitation Waitlist feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
Enable/Disable Assessments in the Client Portal
Allow clients to access assessments
When clients have access to assessments via the Client Portal, they can independently conduct and finalize specific assessments that:
- Are set as Required Data for a program for which they have created an application
- Have been scheduled by a staff member
These safeguards ensure that clients will not be able to conduct assessments that are not applicable to them.
Be sure that if any programs available for clients to apply for require an assessment that this feature is enabled
✅ If you would like clients to self-assess prior to program enrollment, enable this feature.
❌ If you would like only your organization's staff members to conduct and finalize assessments with your clients, disable this feature.
To Enable/Disable the Assessments feature in the Client Portal:
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Assessment feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
Enable/Disable Budget in the Client Portal
Allow clients to access their budget
The Budget feature in the Client Portal has all the same functionality as it does for your staff - there are no restrictions in the Budget feature if it is enabled in the Client Portal.
If this feature is enabled, clients will be able to interact with their budget using the Income and Expenses toggles with no limit to functionality.
Be sure that if any programs available for clients to apply for require budgetary information that this feature is enabled
✅ If you want your clients to independently keep their budget information up to date, enable this feature.
❌ If you do not want your clients to interact with their budgetary information using the Client Portal, disable this feature.
To Enable/Disable the Budget feature in the Client Portal:
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Budget feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
Enable/Disable Employment in the Client Portal
Allow clients to indicate if they are or are not employed
The Employment feature in the Client Portal provides clients the ability to indicate if they are or are not employed.
Be sure that if any programs available for clients to apply for require employment information that this feature is enabled
✅ If you want your clients to indicate if they are or are not employed, enable this feature.
❌ If you do not want your clients to indicate if they are or are not employed while using the Client Portal, disable this feature.
To Enable/Disable the Employment Y/N feature in the Client Portal:
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Employment feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
Enable/Disable Forms in the Client Portal
Allow clients to access forms
When clients have access to electronic forms via the Client Portal, they can independently fill out and sign specific forms that:
- Are set as Required Info for a program for which they have created an application
- Have a scheduled follow-up (see step 5) form due
These safeguards ensure that clients will not be able to fill out and finalize forms that are not applicable to them.
Be sure that if any programs available for clients to apply for require a finalized form that this feature is enabled
✅ If you want your clients to fill out and sign electronic eLogic Genesis forms, enable this feature.
❌ If you do not want your clients to using the Client Portal, disable this feature.
To Enable/Disable the Forms feature in the Client Portal:
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Forms feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
Enable/Disable Program Applications in the Client Portal
Allow clients to apply to programs
When individuals and/or clients have access to Program Applications via the Client Portal, they can independently apply for any of your organization's programs. Agency Admins can determine which programs are available to apply for in the Client Portal.
✅ If you want individuals and/or clients to apply for at least one of your organization's programs, enable this feature.
❌ If you do not want individuals and/or clients to use the Client Portal to apply for programs, disable this feature.
To Enable/Disable the Program Applications feature in the Client Portal:
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Program Applications feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
Enable/Disable Files in the Client Portal
Allow clients to upload and download files
✅ If you want your clients to upload or download files using the Client Portal, enable this feature.
❌ If you do not want your clients to upload or download files using the Client Portal, disable this feature.
To Enable/Disable the Forms feature in the Client Portal:
- Click Agency Admin
- Click Client Portal
- Settings toggle is selected
- Locate the Files feature tile from below
- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green

- To DISABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes grey

- To ENABLE feature: Click the slider button so it becomes green
- System saves automatically
