Services Tab - The Basics
This article will focus on the Referral Services section. Use the links below to jump to the Agency Services and Service Groups articles.
The Services tab enables Agency Admins to create and manage services and Service Groups. These three areas are located under the Services tab and are broken down into three categories:
Agency Services - manage your organization's direct services
Referral Services - manage your organization's referral services
Service Groups - manage your organization's Service Groups
Referral Services - The Basics
Referral services are services not directly provided by or funded by your agency. Referral Services are created and managed by Agency Admins in eLogic Genesis and must be set as a Quick Service or tied to a Scale before it is available for assignment in client records.
Search Referral Services
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Referral Services are shown below
- Enter the name of the service in the textbox
- All matching services will display below
Filter Referral Services
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Referral Services are shown below
- Click the Filter services by agency/domain: drop-down lists
- Select the Agency you wish to filter services
- Select the Domain you wish to filter services
- Services with the selected Agency and/or Domain will display below
Create New Referral Service
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click Add Referral Service - area will expand below
- Select Domain from the drop-down list
- Enter the Agency name in the textbox
- If agency name appears in drop-down list below, you must click it to select
- If agency name does not appear in drop-down list below, click Add New Agency above the Agency textbox - screen overlay will appear
- Enter Agency name
- Click Save Agency
- Repeat Step 5
- Enter Service Name in textbox
- Select service Type from drop-down list
- Enter service Cost to be assigned as default (optional)
- Enter service Hours to be assigned as default (optional)
- Click Save Service
To complete your Referral Service setup, decide if the service will be a Quick or Scale Service, then either set it as a Quick Service or attach scales to make it a Scale Service. The Referral Service will not be available in client records until one of the two additional steps has been completed.
View and Edit Referral Service Settings
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to view or edit
- Click the
settings icon
- Service settings are displayed in the top portion of the screen
- Service Name
- Domain
- Service Group
- Type
- Cost
- Hours
- Assign to Program(s)
- Add SRV
- Quick Service
- Funding Streams
- Make any appropriate changes
- Click Save Service
Assign Default Cost to Referral Service
Services can be assigned a default cost. This cost will be applied with every service assignment in client records, but can be changed by a navigator in any record at any time.
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to assign a default cost
- Click the
settings icon
- Enter the cost amount in the Cost text field
- Click Save Service
Assign Referral Service to Program
Important!! Assigning a Referral Service to a Program makes that service available to only clients who are enrolled in the program.
If you wish this service to be available to any client, regardless of program assignment, do not assign it to a program.
If the service is program specific and should be given to only clients who are enrolled in the selected program, complete the steps below.
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to assign to a program
- Click the
settings icon
- Click the Assign to Program(s) drop-down list
- Select all applicable programs from the list - for faster searching, begin typing the program name to filter your results
- Click Save Service
Add SRV Code to Referral Service

- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service to which you want to add an SRV code
- Click the
settings icon
- Enter SRV in the Add SRV textbox - if you are adding multiple SRVs, they must be done individually
- Click Add - system will save
- SRV will be added under Existing SRVs
- Repeat steps 6-7 as needed
Note that this field is only relevant for the Module 4 Report.
Add FNPI to Referral Service
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service to which you want to add an FNPI
- Click the
settings icon
- Enter FNPI in the Add FNPI textbox - if you are adding multiple FNPIs, they must be done individually
- Click Add - system will save
- FNPI will be added under Existing FNPIs
- Repeat steps 6-7 as needed
Note that this field is only relevant for the Module 4 Report.
Set Referral Service as Quick Service
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to set as a Quick Service
- Click the
settings icon
- Click the checkbox next to Set as Quick Service
- Click Save Service
Add Funding Stream(s) to Referral Service
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to add Funding Stream(s)
- Click the
settings icon
- Under Funding Streams, click the checkbox next to each applicable funding stream
- Click Save Service
Add Sites to Referral Service
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to add Sites
- Click the
settings icon
- Scroll down to the Sites section
- Enter:
- Site Name
- Address 1 (optional)
- Address 2 (optional)
- City (optional)
- State (optional)
- Zip (optional)
- Click Add Site - system will save
Set Referral Service as Scale Service

- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to set as a Scale Service
- Click the
settings icon
- Scroll down to the Service Scales section
- Click the Domain drop-down and select the Domain under which the desired Scale is located
- Scales will appear below
- Select all applicable scales - selected scales will turn orange and be added under SELECTED SCALES to the right
- Repeat steps 6-8 as needed - there is no limit to how many Domains and Scales a service can be assigned
- Click Save Service
Create Quick Assessment for Referral Service

- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to trigger a Quick Assessment upon service assignment
- Click the
settings icon
- Scroll down to the Quick Assessment section
- Click the Trigger Quick Assessment checkbox
- Select quick assessment scale from drop-down list - only scales that have been added as SELECTED SCALES will be available
- Locate and select the Quick Assessment Outcome statement from the list below - every time this service is assigned, the client will automatically be reassessed to the selected outcome statement
- Click Save Service
Delete Referral Service
Referral Services can be deleted from the Referral Service page or within the Referral Service settings.
Delete Referral Service via Referral Services Page
- Click Agency Admin from the system navigation bar
- Click Services
- Click the Referral Services tab listed on the left
- Locate the Referral Service you wish to delete
- Click the
delete icon
