Subsidy Calculator
The subsidy calculator is used to determine what portion of the service cost the agency will cover and what portion of the service cost the client is responsible for. The subsidy calculator will pull information from
Subsidy costs are based on three factors:
- Household size: the number of records in eLogic Genesis that are connected to the head of household
- Minimum and maximum incomes: the minimum and maximum per month for all household members
- Percent: the percentage of the cost the agency will cover
Two requirements must occur to use a subsidy calculator:
- The service must be tied to a subsidy calculator (this can only be done by an agency admin)
- There must be an outstanding cost on the service
How to Use a Subsidy Calculator
1. Make sure you're on the People page and click the Services tab
2. Click the beside the service you'd like to use the subsidy calculator for
- Note-The service must be tied to a subsidy calculator (this can only be done by an agency admin) and there must be an outstanding cost assigned to the service.
3. Click on the Payments tab for that service
4. Click the Use Subsidy Calculator button
5. The Subsidy Calculation overlay will appear
- If the client does not meet the requirements for the subsidy then the Subsidy Calculator overlay will state that the client is responsible for the full cost.
6. If there is more than one Subsidy Calculator available, the caseworker may select which calculator to use.
7. Click the Select button for the Subsidy Calculator you wish to use and the button will turn into a check.
8. Then you must enter the Payment Due Date and click Add Bills
9. When you go to Payment History for that service, you will see eLogic Genesis has created two bills for that service, one for the agency portion and one for the client portion.
10. Click Save Changes
