Notifications - The Basics
Navigators select how they prefer to receive notifications for Assessments, Program Applications, Programs, Services, Classes, and Client-related events: via in-app notification, via automated email, or both.
-
In-App Notification: Users will see a number in a red circle over the
user menu icon in the top right corner of eLogic Genesis.
- Email Notification: Notifications will be delivered to the email address entered in the navigator's record - note that your username and email address do not need to be the same. The email address entered in the record is where notifications will be sent.
Notifications, like viewing Dashboard events, are only available to navigators who are assigned to the client's record when a qualifying event occurs.
Notifications are divided into two groups: Date-based and Action-based.
Date-based notifications are triggered by events in client records that have a date entered into the system. These notifications are delivered to the clients' assigned navigators the night before the event is scheduled. Assessment Due Dates, Service Start dates, Program Check-in dates, and Agency Admin created Notifications are all examples of date-based notifications.
For example, if different clients had applications due, programs starting, and services ending on the same day:
- In-App Notification enabled: all notifications will be generated in the system overnight for each assigned navigator
- Email Notifications enabled: all notifications will be sent in a single summary email overnight
Action-based notifications are triggered by changes made in the system and are delivered within three minutes of the change. Navigators who are assigned a client, updating a program application's status, and new clients added to the Global Invitation Waitlist are all examples of action-based notifications.
- In-App Notification enabled: all notifications will be generated in the system within three minutes
- Email Notifications enabled: each notification will be delivered in its own email within three minutes
