Custom Reports - The Basics
Custom Reports are spreadsheet reports that can be built by any navigator with the Reports Management Role Permission. Custom Reports can be used to report on 18 different major data areas (as dictated by the Report Type). Once a Custom Report is run, the results can be downloaded as a CSV file to open in another spreadsheet application such as Excel or Sheets.
Custom Report Application examples: View Service distribution for the Fiscal Year, view each Program assignment for all clients who were assessed within a certain time-frame, view and analyze client and staff interaction with granular detail for new clients over the last six months.
Report Info Icons - The Basics
Custom Report Filters and Columns each have an Info Icon that when clicked, will expand to display additional information about the filter or column.
Custom Report Filters - The Basics
Report Filters are the same for both Custom and Ad Hoc Reports

When selecting a Custom Report Type, consider which element on which you wish to have the most details, then select that report type. It is not uncommon that multiple reports and Report Types will need to be built to obtain complex data elements.
Custom Report results can be downloaded as a CSV file to open in another spreadsheet application such as Excel or Sheets.
Custom Report Columns - The Basics
Report Columns are the data displayed after a report is run. This information will be displayed in columns and can be sorted by each available data point once the report is ran.
When building a Custom Report, it is critical to identify and select which Report Type will best fit your reporting needs as the Custom Report columns available for each Custom Report are dependant on which Report Type is selected.
For example, a Demographics report will have few Service column options, however a Service report will have many Service column options. A Programs report will have all Program column options whereas an Employment report does not.
